AAT King's core multi-day coach tours cater mainly for those over 55+, whilst their short breaks in the Northern Territory tend to attract a more diverse range of ages. All coaches are first class, and AAT Kings pride themselves on their tour guides - many of which have been with them for decades!
Initially providing coach touring around Australia and NZ to the local market, APT have grown exponentially over the last decade to now offer trips around the world, and are well known for their European river cruises. Over the last few years APT have introduced small ship expeditions that cruise the waters through Asia, Europe, Canada and off the coast of Kimberley. Catering primarily for the retired market, their trips aren't cheap, but in APT's case - you get what you pay for. Look out for their great Fly Free offers, and Earlybird Savings. Chose this tour specifically for Floriade but was so much more. Our driver/director was marvelous. Really enjoyed this short break to Canberra and surrounds. Great accomodation in great location. Have done a few trips with AAT Kings now and would recommend. Georgie from Global Journeys was helpful as ever.
The trip was very well organised with some many and varied places to see that we never heard of. Lots of kms - 4,831 but we had many of stops and in house commentary and documentaries by tour leader Carolyn - she really knew her stuff and has a sense of humor. Coach driver Rhys was a great asset and lots of fun. Could not fault the whole trip - accommodation ...read more was very good, some better than others considering some motels were mainly used for workers - we were comfortable at all times. Meals that were supplied were very good - would recommend this trip to anyone - and we are in our 70's! Hannah did a great job in organising the tour and was always there to answer initial questions - thank you!
Carolyn is excellent host with a wealth of knowledge who makes everyone comfortable yet brings home reality of Australia history. She entertained us with information and data on places and people. Wow..what a great trip we have just enjoyed with AAT Kings, thanks to Hannah and her colleagues at Global Journeys. We met some wonderful people and were in the capable hands of two lovely young ladies..Anna and Ash. Loved the trip. A bit rushed. Too many early mornings and long days. Would love it if it was more spread out. The accommodation was excellent. Food and drinks were great. Fellow travellers were exceptionally friendly. NT is one place you must see. We went from 16 deg to 35 deg. Itinerary was good. Accommodations and included meals were good. We had a knowledgeable tour director and a safe driver. This trip covered two UNESCO sites namely Kakadu National Park and Uluru National Park. I enjoyed the Field of Lights and the natural wonder of sunrise over Uluru.

Wonderful tour leaders Linda and Tony took us in a 4 wheel drive van- small group - in an amazing trip from Adelaide to Darwin, over 2 weeks. Felt safe and cared for. Very informative. Great walks and obtained excellent photos. Flights were spectacular. Saw so much and made great new friends. A lot of fun. Early starts and long hours travelling some ...read more days but lots of stops, cups of tea and snacks in the bush. Great accommodation and fabulous food. Highly recommend if you love an adventure.
Georgie and the team at Global Journeys once again have surprised our expectations and looked after us and our bookings very well. We travelled with APT Istanbul to Rome on L'Austral. If considering this type of cruise with APT, please be very aware of what you are booking. These cruises are not in any way similar to APT's fantastic river cruises. We were very glad to have had the opportunity to do this cruise. The staff on the ship were outstanding. Great itinerary, excellent food. We rated APT at mostly 9 and 10 in their assessment form. Being the only foreigner travelling with this lovely group I cannot praise enough the courtesy among the group members / fellow travellers. Thanks to Eleanor ( Elli) our super competent and super friendly driver/ guide/ savior.... It was simply a great pleasure to cover this enormous stretch of Aussieland.

Great trip - Broome inclusions were brilliant, flights good and the APT team were fantastic! Cruise was beyond our expectations- excellent food and service, great accommodation and wonderful crew who looked after us superbly - I could not recommend this trip highly enough!
